Hubby brought Sweet Pea a balloon which she took everywhere....literally. She held the balloon while eating breakfast, changing clothes and in the bathtub and everywhere in between.
The cake was a big hit. After we sang Happy Birthday, Hubby sat the cake down in front of Sweet Pea. She just looked at it with a puzzled look on her face and then looked at all of us. With a little prompting she touched the cake with her fingers. Still a little confused she rubbed the icing in her hair instead of eating it. Then her friend Julia showed her how to do the birthday cake thing. After watching Julia take and eat a handful of icing Sweet Pea caught on. As soon as the icing touched her mouth she smiled and laughed and went for more.
After Sweet Pea fed herself cake she fed Hubby and I cake too. Most everyone at the party ended up covered in icing...we wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
Sweet Pea's little friend C gave her a flower for her birthday. Sweet Pea said thanks by giving C a big wet kiss....we will need to watch these two (haha).
We managed to get all of the kiddos to sit still for a few moments to snap a great shot. This was quickly disbanded as one of the kids sneezed icing out of his nose.
