Rafting Trip

Last year Hubby and I sold our dirt bikes and bought a raft. Considering how much we both love the river we wanted to have a way to take the entire family on trips. A few weeks ago we made our maiden voyage on the Rio Chama in New Mexico. There was a big crew comprised of friends and neighbors totaling 17 adults and 8 kids. Our raft had four adults and two, one year olds and with all of our stuff we looked like country come to town floating down the river. The area was absolutely beautiful and it felt great to be behind the oars again. The scenery was gorgeous, the river was perfect, the company was outstanding - the only part that was not perfect was the weather. We got a daily thunderstorm that started around 3 pm and lasted until 2 or 3 am for two days in a row. The funny part about the first time it rained was that I had packed all of our rain gear at the bottom of our dry bags (as in under all of our dry clothes and bedding) so it was quite the project to get those out without soaking all of our clothes and bedding - LESSON LEARNED. The few hours of sunshine each day were filled with laughs and water gun fights. Sweet Pea loved it. She had a blast camping. Sweet Pea enjoyed sleeping right beside Hubby and I because in the morning she could wake us up first thing and not have to wait for us to come get her. Each morning started with Sweet Pea showing me where my eyes are which she does in a somewhat forceful manner. We are already looking forward to doing another trip.
Seriously - how was this raft staying afloat?

No one was safe from the water guns

Exploring the campsite - she literally left no stone unturned
